SJCYL has been in existence since 2000, operating as a league where no one were paid, and everyone plays. Each year, boys aged 8 to 14 register to participate in the league. Once they reach 14, they graduate from the club, as there is no further platform within SJFCYL. Most boys then transition to another club to continue their footballing journey.
However, the passionate members of the league aspired to provide something to keep the graduated boys and girls engaged. They envisioned their teams competing at a higher level, but the resources within the club were limited. Achieving this required them to register with the Sports Ministry. Leading this ambitious journey was a dedicated individual who understood the potential benefits. State-level tournaments not only promised higher competition but also opened doors to better facilities, increased exposure, and opportunities to obtain high school and university scholarships through their extracurricular activities.
Challenges loomed, but with unwavering determination and always keeping the community’s best interests at heart, the club had not only achieved its goal but had also strengthened the bonds within the community to expose the higher age group boys and girls to more competitive football.
The story concluded with the club gearing up for the state-level competitions, ready to face new challenges and embrace the opportunities that lay ahead. Subang Jaya Football Club, once again, stood united, showcasing the power of sports to bring people together and create a legacy that extended beyond the boundaries of a football field, aiming to provide a better and safer environment for football players to develop their skills and enhance co-curricular activities.
